Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N - Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste N - Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the Fruita No. I and 3 Mine conducted on March 11,2020. The inspection was <br /> completed by Clayton Wei of the Division. The mine site is a revoked site;therefore,no company representative <br /> was present for the inspection. The weather was cloudy with occasional rain. The temperature was 46 degrees F. <br /> The ground conditions were dry to damp. <br /> FISH and WILDLIFE—Rule 4.18: <br /> Throughout the inspection of the mine site deer tracks and droppings were observed. There were <br /> numerous cattle droppings and tracks in and around the sediment pond. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The sediment pond was dry during the inspection Photo 1). The outlet was clear of debris and stable. The <br /> embankments of the pond were vegetated with no indications of erosion. There were no concerns with stability <br /> identified. <br /> The riprap channel extending from the top of the reclaimed portals bench to the base of the hillside was in good <br /> condition (Photo 2). The channel was dry at the time of the inspection. There were no new erosional features and <br /> the existing feature did not appear to have enlarged. No signs of instability were noted. <br /> RECLAMATION SUCCESS -Rule 4.15,Rule 3: <br /> The reclaimed haul road was vegetated and stable (Photos 3 and 4). There were no new erosional features. <br /> There is a large gully on the lower portion of the reclaimed haul road. This gully has been documented in previous <br /> Division inspection reports. The gully is beginning to stabilize and appears to be integrating itself into the <br /> hydrologic characteristics of the site. The gully ends in the natural drainage that leads to the sediment pond.
