Box 1488 <br /> Paonia, CO 81428 <br /> Re: Bowie No. 2 Mine,Permit C-1996-83, Surety Increase No. 2 (SI-02) <br /> Dear Mr. Bear: <br /> On 3 October 2019, the Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety completed a findings document for <br /> the Midterm Permit Review(MT-05) for the Bowie No. 2 Mine, and in conjunction with this midterm <br /> review,we updated the Reclamation Cost Estimate (RCE) for this mine. The updated RCE increased the <br /> required surety by$40,169.45. <br /> This letter, in accordance with Rule 3.02.2(4)(a) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined <br /> Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, is to inform you that the Division has issued a proposed <br /> decision to approve Surety Increase No. 2 (SI-02) for the Bowie No. 2 Mine. Enclosed is the Division's <br /> decision form. Notice of this decision will be published in the Delta County Independent once a week for <br /> two weeks, as soon as possible. The first publication of the notice initiates a 30-day public comment <br /> period. If, within 30 days,there are no requests for an adjudicatory hearing,the decision will become <br /> final.
