February 20,2020 C-1981-018/Deserado Mine CCW <br /> There are two ponds located on the north side of the Slot Storage facility. The SS-1 and SS-2 ponds were <br /> completely covered with snow. There were no indications of instability or erosion at the ponds or on the ponds' <br /> embankments. <br /> There are three cells that compose the B Seam Dewatering System No. 2. All three cells of the system were <br /> covered with snow. The dewatering pump was not active at the time of the inspection. The embankments for the <br /> cells were stable and there were no indications of erosional features. <br /> Access to the entire B Seam Dewatering System No. 1 was limited due to snow cover. The first 6 cells of the <br /> system were inspected. The site was covered with snow. Only the first two cells were unfrozen. The dewatering <br /> pump was not active during the inspection. The embankments of the cells were stable and there were no erosional <br /> features identified. <br /> PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES—Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br /> Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br /> The RP-2/3/4 Refuse Pile was active during the inspection. Activity at the site included the stockpiling of <br /> refuse material from the Prep Plant. The top of the pile was exposed from snow cover. There were no indications <br /> of instability or erosion at the site. The RP-5a pile had snow pushed into windrows on top. The pile was <br /> completely covered in snow. There were no erosional features or indications of instability on the refuse pile. The <br /> RP-A refuse area was inactive at the time of the inspection. The entire site was covered with snow. No <br /> indications of instability or erosion were identified. <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03 <br /> Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3),Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4), Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5)and <br /> (6)/4.03.2(5) and(6),Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> The Haul Road was in good condition. Most of the road was dry and there were no indications of <br /> instability or erosion. The ditches for the road were clear of obstructions. Access throughout the site was limited <br /> due to snow cover and soft road conditions. Access roads utilized during the inspection were in good repair. <br /> There were no erosional issues or indications of instability observed. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br /> Support facilities inspected include; <br /> The B Vent Shaft No. 1 pad was partially covered with snow. The pad was stable and no off site impacts were <br /> observed. Berms at the pad were intact. The cut-slope of the pad was stable with no erosional concerns. <br /> The pad for RDH-2 was partly covered in snow. The pad was stable and there were no indications of erosion. The <br /> access road to the pad was in good condition. <br /> The Slot storage was mostly covered with snow,only the top portion surrounding the building was exposed. <br /> Berms at the site were intact.
