Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N - Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the Peabody Sage Creek Mine; DRMS Permit No. C-2009-087,operated by <br /> Peabody Sage Creek Mining,LLC. This inspection was conducted by Tabetha Lynch with the Colorado Division <br /> of Reclamation,Mining and Safety(Division). Also present for the inspection was Miranda Kawcak with <br /> Peabody Sage Creek Mining. The Sage Creek Mine is an inactive non-producing mine currently in Temporary <br /> Cessation. The mine was plowed to just past the first shop pad. The shop area is being used as a staging area for <br /> construction of the stoker coal building under construction at the Foidel Creek Mine. Some of the tube stucture <br /> taken from the Empire Mine is being repurposed, <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> Records were checked at the Foidel Creek Mine Office. See checklist at the end of this report for details. <br /> FISH and WILDLIFE—Rule 4.18: <br /> Multiple tracks were observed throughout the accessible portion of the site. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage —Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The mine was not accessible to the portal area or further ponds. Pond 3 was snow covered. Culverts and <br /> drainages were under snow. Water sampling is contracted to WWC for this site. <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> Sand blast tent approved in MR 32 was on site and part of the prep work for the Foidel Creek Mine stoker <br /> coal building (photo below).
