The weather <br /> was clear. Rob Zuber of DRMS reviewed the photographs on January 12,2020. <br /> Coal production at the Bowie No. 2 Mine ceased in 2016. The mine is in"active" status because BRL continues to <br /> perform work on the gob piles,except in the middle of the winter. Other activities on site are maintenance and <br /> monitoring. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage —Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The following ponds can be partially seen in the photographs: B, C,D,F,J, and K. It was difficult to <br /> determine water levels in the ponds due to the oblique angles of the photographs.No problems were identified <br /> with embankments or other features of the ponds. <br /> No problems were detected with any of the surface water control ditches. <br /> PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES—Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br /> Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br /> No evidence of ponding, significant erosion,or other problems were identified with any of the gob piles. <br /> There is no evidence that seeps below Gob Pile #2 are problematic. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 8 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> Page 2 of 6 <br />
