reservoir mining phases prior to the start of dewatering in each
reservoir phase (see EXHIBIT D -MINING PLAN) .
TABLE G-1is a list of 20 wells from the Office of the State
Engineer' s files, and whose permit locations are within 200 feet of
the permit area. (Note: Well permit locations are not always
accurate, especially for older wells . ) The wells highlighted in blue
are outside the permit area (which is owned by Cannon Land Company) .
Cannon owns 12 wells . Of the 8 highlighted wells not owned by
Cannon, one (1) well is a deep well (highlighted dark blue) and seven
(7) wells are shallow wells drawing water from the surface aquifer
(highlighted light blue) .
L.G. Everist, Inc . has installed 14 piezometers (a.k.a.
Monitoring Wells) around the mine. Their locations are shown on the
maps and on MAP EXHIBITG-1 WELL MAP. L.G. Everist started data
collection in October 2019 and will do monthly readings throughout
the life of the mine . We will provide a summary of the data yearly
with the Annual Report .
Post Reclamation
Any slight groundwater mounding and shadowing associated with
the slurry wall sealed portions of the pit are not anticipated to
produce any adverse impacts to adjacent properties . Potential
groundwater mounding in the western parcel will be mitigated by the
South Platte River, the Evans #2/Platte Valley Canal, and the
irrigation return flow ditch; and on the eastern areas by the
Platteville Ditch. These existing water features will serve to
regulate and balance groundwater elevations in the alluvium adjacent
to the sealed pits .
The backfilling in Phases 4A, 4B and 5A is not anticipated to
produce any adverse impacts to adjacent properties, since the phases
are surrounded by unlined areas that will carry ground water around
the backfill .
The operator does not anticipate any long-term post-reclamation
ground water depletions, but if there are any, they would be replaced
through a Colorado Water Court approved Plan of Augmentation.
L.G. Everist, Inc . has entered into a contract to mine the
gravel and construct the developed water storage reservoirs with
Cannon Land Company. As water storage reservoirs are completed, they
will be turned over to Cannon for further development into developed
water storage reservoirs . L.G. Everist will submit Technical
Revisions to the DRMS if Cannon makes changes prior to L.G. Everist
receiving final reclamation approval and acreage releases from the
Division.
