February 5, 2020
Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety
Attn: Mr. Eric Scott
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
RE: North Weld County Water District—Lamb Lakes (M-2018-039)
This letter is in response to the North Weld County Water District gravel mine and reclamation
project known as Lamb Lakes (M-2018-039), in Larimer County, Colorado. Our property is
within 200 feet of the Lamb Lakes affected land boundary.
As we understand it, new mining and reclamation activities will install groundwater slurry walls
around the existing lakes to create below-grade water storage reservoirs. The new mining and
reclamation within the existing lakes will progress at, and create, 3H:1 V slopes and, therefore,
North Weld County Water District does not anticipate any slope stability issues that could
negatively affect our property and/or structures on our property.
Although we do not object to permitting of the project, be advised that this does not alleviate
North Weld County Water District from any responsibility if our property or structures are
damaged due to the mining and reclamation operation. Additionally, we retain the right to
provide future comment on, and oppose, any aspect of the operation that we feel negatively
affects our property.
Clinton Arnett
Parcel Numbers 9703409701 and 970MO9702
Arne,
Name(Printed)
Name( tgnature)
Date
