Mr. Timm Comer
Manager,Environmental Resources
Hydro-JexTM Program Review ameO
December 17, 2009
TOUGHV2 was used to simulate fluid injection into the unsaturated ore heap from the 9925 bench at
shallow (9915 elv.), medium (9855 elv.), and deep (9810 elv.) injection depths. In all cases, the ore was
assumed to be initially unsaturated (e.g. at residual moisture content). For the shallow injection scenario,
the injection pressure was approximately '/2 of the overburden pressure, this is considered prudent given
the injection point is only 10 feet below the ore bench surface. Figures 4 and 5 present the pressure
profile and extent of saturation for injection at 9915 elevation after a period of 15 days.
Figure 4 Pressure Profile 9915 Injection (112 overburden)
SL
O •0•
0,711
.514
..
