Injection should be terminated at the sign of any instability, such as the formation of
seepage faces on the ore slopes, excessive surface cracking or displacement, and/or erratic injection
pressures.
Please note that, based on observations at other sites, it is very likely that local settlement may occur
near or around the injection wells. This occurs because the effective stress within the ore column
changes under high-pressure injection, resulting in compaction of the ore. The amount of anticipated
settlement is not considered significant, however it should be monitored.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact me at(303)433-0262.
Sincerely,
AMEC Earth & Environmental, Inc.
n F.
