EXHIBIT D RECLAMATION PLAN
1. General Reclamation Plan
The maximum disturbed area to be reclaimed under this permit is —20.0 acres out of the 30.0
acre permit area. Reclamation plans can be viewed on the Reclamation Map. Post-mining land
use will return the entire disturbed site back to dry rangeland with native grasses on all slopes
and is consistent with existing land use in the area. All slopes will be reclaimed to 3H:1 V or
shallower. As described in the mining plan, reclamation will occur concurrently with mining.
The pit ramp will be left in place to allow for vehicle access to the bottom of the site during
grazing use.
2. Topsoil Replacement
Topsoil on site is anticipated to range from 0-6 inches thick. During mining, all topsoil will be
stored in the site perimeter berm along the north, south, west, east borders of the site and are
shown on the Reclamation Map. Topsoil will be replaced over the entire mine site in one event
due to the small size of the site. Topsoil thickness upon replacement is expected to be 3 inches
thick on average.
3. Haul Roads and Access
Three access entrances and roads will connect the site to County Road T. Onsite haul roads will
be flexible as mining moves throughout the site. See the Reclamation Map for the layout of roads
after mining and reclamation.
4. Reclamation Timetable
See Exhibit E section 2.
5. Revegetation Plan
For each area of reclamation, soil may be disked to loosen surficial soils. Due to the mild grade,
seed can be drilled in most areas, but broadcast seeding will be utilized where reclaimed
perimeter slopes do not allow drilling. The seed mix listed below will be used to revegetate the
site with a native grass mix on all surfaces. This seed mix was recently reviewed and accepted in
December 2019 by the NRCS to revegetation of dry rangeland areas. Certified weed free mulch
