Leo Campuzano of
GCC accompanied Lucas in the field and discussions were conducted with Jordan McCourt in the office. The
Weather was clear and the ground was dry during the time of the inspection. Normal activities were being
conducted during the inspection. At King II, the stackers were actively moving mined material and trucks were
being loaded. Four Photos accompany this report to illustrate the site conditions.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
During the Division's previous inspections, several depleted batteries were discovered to be stored without
secondary containment. This item was followed up on during this inspection and confirmed that all spent batteries
are being properly stored prior to disposal. The container can be seen in Photo One.
GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE:
Discussions have been conducted about making a revision to the permit to allow for three new portals to
be driven in the hillside adjacent to the Air Jig located at the King II Facilities. The area of possible new
disturbance can be seen in Photos Two through Four. The hill side is currently undisturbed and is well vegetated.
On site discussions indicate that this area was already included in the vegetation and cultural surveys that have
been previously conducted.
OFFSITE SUPPORT FACILIITES -Rule 4.04,4.28:
The proper mine identification signage was posted at the entrance to the site and all boundaries were
marked as well.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 4
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2
Page 2 of 4
