CCV Emergency Response Plan <br /> NEWMONT <br /> NORTH . <br /> 1 .0 PURPOSE <br /> This plan has been developed and compiled by the Health Safety & Loss Prevention Department. It <br /> contains practical rules, procedures and allocation of responsibilities for a better planning of emergency <br /> response and control. <br /> The Emergency Response Plan is to be provided to all internal areas of management and contractors. <br /> Compliance with the relevant provisions of the Emergency Response Plan during an emergency will <br /> facilitate information flow and provide support and assistance. The Emergency Response Plan will be <br /> reviewed following any incident requiring the implementation of the Plan, to determine if the planned <br /> response procedures were adequate or require revision. <br /> To familiarize all employees with the contents of this ERP, it is essential for the supervisors to review the <br /> ERP together with their employees: <br /> (a) When they are new or when they have been transferred to a new area. <br /> (b) When their duties and the responsibilities assigned to them within the Department have been <br /> changed or modified. <br /> (c) When they are assigned to a specific duty within this Plan. <br /> 2.0 SCOPE <br /> This Plan applies to the Newmont Cripple Creek &Victor functional areas, operations, offices, including <br /> employees, vendors, visitors and contractors within the scope of the Integrated Management System <br /> (IMS). <br /> 3.0 DEFINITIONS AND ACRONYMS <br /> Approved is certified to meet the minimum standards established by the HSLP Department. All PPE <br /> used in the Newmont North American Region operations shall meet at least the American National <br /> Standards Institute (ANSI) standards, American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), or other <br /> international or local standards which comply with or exceed those standards. <br /> General Rules are rules which apply to all employees, vendors, visitors, and contractors regardless of <br /> where they work or what they do. <br /> Job Specific is requirements directly associated with a specific job, task, or occupation. <br /> Site refers to a specific location of operations <br /> Emergencies are an undesired event that generates real or potential dangers/risks, at Newmont North <br /> America Operations (on site or off site), that directly effect: <br /> (a) The people: the health and welfare of Newmont employees, the health and welfare of <br /> members of the general public. <br /> (b) The property <br /> (c) The process. <br /> (d) The environment <br /> (e) The reputation of Newmont. <br /> Department THIS DOCUMENT IS UNCONTROLLED IN HARD COPY FORMAT Doc Id:NA-CCV-HSLP-PLAN-1775 <br /> Health Safety&Loss Prevention Date of This Issue:25 June 2018 Date of Next Review:25 June 2019 Page 3 of 38 <br />
