Note that the annual mining and reclamation backfill <br />progression is approximate and subject to change due to economics, weather conditions and <br />other factors. <br />3.1 Clearing, Grubbing and Growth Medium Removal <br />The VLF2 Phase 3 PSSA embankment area will require minor clearing, grubbing and growth <br />medium removal as described in the Valley Leach Facility 2 Phase 3 Detailed Design Report <br />included in Appendix 1. The proposed Phase 3 expansion will occur largely within already <br />disturbed areas and is entirely within the affected lands boundary.
