Exhibit D
(Mining Plan)
Mining will consist of scraping material, consisting of sand and gravel, with a bulldozer or end loader
into piles to be loaded onto trucks and transported off site to be used for county road maintenance.
Mining will be in a south direction from the existing pit and will maintain a 3:1 sloping or less. The area
in use at any time will not be greater than the added area in this conversion as the original pit area will
be in the reclamation process. Some mixing of road millings may occur in the stockpiles as described and
included in a 2014 revision.
The operation will commence as soon as the amendment is obtained and will continue for at least 20
years with the amount of material available, which runs to a depth of over 60 feet before hitting clay. It
will be active, but used less than 180 days per year. The pit will extend the existing pit from the southern
boundary. Reclamation of the existing pit will continue as the mining extends south. There will be no
crushing or screening, nor will any water be used or contacted. At no time will there be chemicals,
explosives,or other hazardous materials used in this operation. This will be a simple pit operation with
no man-made structures erected. The existing external haul road will be utilized and is included in the
area calculation.
Material is at the surface and will be mixed with what little topsoil and overburden exist.Any available
topsoil that can be saved for reclamation will be stockpiled and seeded with a NRCS recommended mix
for stabilization.
