The bond release <br /> application was found complete by this Division on December 4, 2019. The requested release is <br /> for approximately 201.85 acres of reclaimed surface facilities, mine ventilation boreholes, drill <br /> pads and associated roads, as well as facilities that have been repurposed for industrial or <br /> commercial uses. Reclamation work was completed in the areas requested for release between <br /> 1996 and 2017. The application requests the release of 60% of the bond applicable to areas <br /> proposed for Phase I release, 85% of the bond applicable to areas proposed for Phase II release <br /> and 100% of the bond applicable to areas proposed for Phase III release. The surface ownership <br /> is federal and private, and the coal mined was federal and private. <br /> We will contact you to advise you of the Division's required bond release inspection of the site as <br /> soon as it has been scheduled.
