The
0 2 2019
= x ! h e Piety Lode South Pars
4; Notice
Ranger District
- I ! o t i c e of Intent
f
NOI date: 12/29/2018 (Revised 9/27/2019)
Point of Contacts
Fred Ceconi (303-404-9944, . I - I „ ) Club Claim Manager for the DGMG
and logs all activity of our "Piety Lode" Club Claim for assessment & internal maintenance
purposes.
George Daggett (720-488-5692, } is the current Club
President.
Either can be reached via our address of record, matching the recorded BLM Location & Map
Certificates at Denver Gem and Mineral Guild 1236 Madison St. Denver, CO 80206-3440.
Area Involved
Enclosed, please find a Copy of our 'Piety' club claim Maps, and a Sketch of the
location as shown on USGS 1:24,000topographic maps 'Green Mountain' & 'Cheesman Lake'
quads of The "Piety Lode" (CMC-278722) SW 1/4, Sec. 20,T. 9 S., R. 71 W., 6" P.M.,Jefferson
County, Colorado.
Proposed Activity
We will conduct hand digging only and utilize no power equipment. By club policy,
only current members of both the Denver Gem & Mineral Guild and the Lake George Gem &
Mineral Club may visit the claim site, and members must first notify our Club Claim Manager,
Fred Ceconi, of their intended visit. After a visit, members must notify our manager of the
amount of material collected. Several scheduled field trips will occur during the year,
typically involving 15-25 members. Over the course of the collecting season, approximately
175 people will visit the Piety Lode Claim. Some members may surface collect only and
others may dig holes. Over the course of the season, the total amount of material collected
is less than a quarter of one cubic yard.
Prospected Areas
Normal collecting operations will involve the members of the Denver Gem & Mineral
Guild and the Lake George Gem & Mineral Club extracting minerals using handwork with
tools such as shovels, picks, rakes, hammers and chisels (no power tools). All reasonable
efforts are made to avoid surface disturbance of vegetation. Each excavation is likely not to
exceed 12 square feet. Our active area of surface disturbance, of all excavations together, is
less than 100 square feet at any time and 1, 000 square feet per season. Since we intend to
discover additional mineral deposits, the area of surface disturbance could grow, but
considering our time and ability to work this area, we would not expect the area to grow
