Mayne Block and Stone Company
P.O. Box 533
Pueblo,CO 81002 X
4N
November 26,2019
Jessica Lopez Pearce
Bureau of Land Management
Colorado River Valley Field Office
2300 River Frontage Road
Silt,CO 81652
Re: Dotsero Quarry- Response to BLM Inspection on July 2,2019 and Certified Letter dated
September 5,2019
BLM Serial Number: COC-066169 (CON04000)
Dear Jessica Lopez Pearce,
I will respond to the required corrective actions in the same order as the referenced in the
Inspection Report. I also respond to one inspection topic that did not require a corrective
action.
CORRECTIVE ACTION: Mayne Block and Stone must re-establish the road block on
the north-central access point to the quarry. Do not cut down any live trees to aid in the
fulfillment of this requirement.
ACTION: On November 19,2019, Mayne Block and Stone re-established the road block
at the north-central access point to the quarry. Already downed trees and old railroad
ties were used to accomplish this. Please see Photo #1 through Photo #3. In addition,
the road block at the north eastern access point was also reinforced as there was
evidence that traffic was starting to go around the road block. This was accomplished
with an additional already downed tree and old railroad ties. Please see Photo #4 and
Photo #5.
