RULE 2 - PERMITS <br /> • Boom Truck and Fork Lifts <br /> • Utility Trucks and Light Vehicles <br /> • Air Compressor <br /> • Welders <br /> • Generators <br /> • Light-Plants <br /> • Pumps <br /> Operation Description <br /> The proposed mine development, and any subsequent mine production operations will be <br /> underground only and will involve no surface mining activities. The underground mining operations <br /> are described in general terms in Section 2.05.2, and in greater detail in the preceding portions of this <br /> section. Areas affected by mining and related operations are on Map 2.05.3-MIA, Mine Facilities <br /> Map (South End), Map 2.05.3-M1B, Mine Facilities Map (North End)), and Map 2.05.3-MI, Life <br /> of Mine Plan Map. Any future coal exploration programs necessary to delineate and characterize the <br /> coal seam(s)and strata above and below the coal seam will be designed and permitted in compliance <br /> with applicable provisions of Rules 2.02 and 4.21. <br /> Surface Facilities <br /> The location of proposed mine structures and facilities within the PSCM permit area are shown on <br /> the Mine Facilities Maps, (Map 2.05.3-M1A, Mine Facilities Map (South End) and 2.05.3-M1B, <br /> Mine Facilities Map (North End))and their function,use, and maintenance are described in detail in <br /> this section. All surface facilities have been or will be designed in compliance with applicable <br /> provisions of Rule 4.04 as detailed in the specific facility descriptions. Removal of the mine facilities <br /> and reclamation of the associated disturbance areas will be completed in accordance with the <br /> reclamation plans described in Section 2.05.4. <br /> Proposed mine structures and facilities are described in the following sections. Dimensions and <br /> general construction information for all mine facilities are provided in the following discussions in <br /> compliance with applicable regulatory provisions and as the basis for estimating mine closure and <br /> reclamation costs. <br /> Existing support facilities are located in the northern end of the surface disturbance area as shown on <br /> Map 2.05.3-M1B, Mine Facilities Map (North End). These facilities are comprised of remaining <br /> structures from the former Seneca II Mine. All facilities will be removed, and the associated <br /> disturbance areas reclaimed to approximate original contours, and the approved postmining uses <br /> when no longer required to support ongoing or future mining and related activities.
