Significant proposed changes include: • N Pit going from a dipline orientation to a strikeline orientation,with associated changes to highwall mining orientations; • L Pit annual mining and reclamation sequencing and post-mining topography(PMT)updates as a result of future reductions in contracted coal to Craig Station; • PMT update to the ash pit based on increased ash placement and reduced N Pit spoil placement; • Creation of a temporary out-of-pit spoil dump necessary for final N Pit backfill; • A revised D/E Pit final PMT based on projected future reductions in coal ash placement as a result of known and probable future Craig Station unit closures; • Haulroad construction update for N Pit. A revised bond section will be presented after you have had a chance to review the updated mine plan. The new bond section will be submitted before the end of December. The following revised permit text pages are enclosed and updated as follows: • 3-15.Updated to note all of F Pit now reclaimed. • 3-15a.N Pit updated from dipline to strikeline; highwall mining orientation changed from west to north-south. • 3-15b. Eliminated discussion of N Pit from being evaluated for mining to will be mined. • 3-15c.N Pit paragraph added to Reclamation Plan section. • 3-40.Removed D/E Pit exception to the PMT discussion. • 3-40b. Changed narrative back to quarterly Horse Gulch Fill inspection; removed 2018 as final reclamation date. 0 3-44.Updated N Strike Pit boxcut discussion.
