About 60 to 80 percent <br /> of the annual precipita ion falls during April to September, primarily from thunderstorms(USGS, 1995). <br /> The region surroundinE the project area averages an annual high temperature of 68.87 and an annual <br /> low temperature of 3 .77. Summer temperatures during July and August average 94°F and 917, <br /> respectively. Winter temperatures during January and February average 467 and 507, respectively.The <br /> average annual tempe ature is 52.75°F. Average annual precipitation is 14.67 inches. Average annual <br /> snowfall is 41 inches. May is the rainiest month,averaging 2.4 inches of precipitation. March receives the <br /> most snowfall on average,with 8 inches,followed by November with 7 inches. <br /> 10 <br />
