Vegetation is composed of various grasses, prickly pear, yucca, and sand
sagebrush.Trees are largely absent from the project area with the exception of a grove of Russian olives in the
southeast quarter of Section 12,T2N-R64W.This land cover type is visible on Attachment A, Figure 2. Eight
sampling points were assessed to document upland conditions in the AOL For more information about upland
habitat conditions in the AOI please refer to the Wetland Determination Data Forms provided in Attachment
B. Representative site photographs are provided in Attachment C. Sampling point and photograph locations
are noted on Figure 2,Attachment A.
CONCLUSIONS
RETTEW's field investigation of the Ennis Draw drainage identified 25 wetlands within the AOL The mapped
drainage for Ennis Draw terminates in uplands approximately three miles north of the project area with no
visible downstream connection to any surface waters.
Prepared by: & tin
JU0 Theodorakos,Biologist
Reviewed by:
Martin Friday,Senior I
ogist
Z:Shared\Projects\11478\114782000\Technical Service Areas\NS\Wetland Delineation\Keenesburg Project_WetMemo_2019-10-16.docx
Keenesburg No. 2 Mine_112 Reclamation Operation—November 22, 2019
