Representative sampling points were selected to characterize
habitat and plant communities. Defined bed and bank features were used as criteria to identify streams.Aquatic
resources identified in the field were mapped with a Global Positioning System(GPS)unitwith sub-meter accuracy.
REVIEW OF EXISTING DOCUMENTATION
National Wetlands Inventory Map
Several National Wetlands Inventory(NWI)mapped wetlands are located within and adjacent to Ennis Draw in
the project area(Attachment A,Figure 2).Field crews investigated these mapped areas to confirm the presence
of wetlands.
RESULTS
A total of 25 wetlands were identified within the AOL Upland habitat in the AOI consists primarily of grazed
grasslands with gently rolling topography, dirt roads, existing pipeline right-of-way (ROW), and oil and gas
facilities. Elevations across the site range from 4,950 — 4,600 feet above sea level. Soils contain a high
percentage of sand and are mostly well-drained.One mapped drainage(Ennis Draw)runs from south to north
through the project area. Brief descriptions of habitats in the AOI are provided below. The sampling points
evaluated during the investigation were recorded on the Wetland Determination Data Forms provided in
Keenesburg No. 2 Mine_112 Reclamation Operation—November 22, 2019
