PERMIT#: M-2004-067
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ECS
INSPECTION DATE:November 19,2019
OBSERVATIONS
This was a routine monitoring inspection conducted by Eric Scott of the Division of Reclamation Mining and
Safety (DRMS) of the MMRR Quarry, permitted by Brannan Sand and Gravel (Brannan). DRMS met with
Brannan representatives Josh Oliver and Fred Marvel at a convenience store located on the south side of
Highway 119 across from the site entrance. The site is a 526.7 acre permitted area located on the north side
of Highway 119 approximately 1.35 miles northwest of the intersection of Highway 119 and Highway 6.
The site was permitted in December of 2006 with a maximum allowed disturbance area of 39.28 acres and a
post mining land use of wildlife habitat. To-date the permittee has been unable to obtain the required
permit(s) from Gilpin County, therefore, no mining activity has taken place at this site.
As noted on the first page of this report, the permittee is still required to maintain the site identification
sign(s) and permit boundary markers as required by the DRMS permit. The sign and markers will need to be
installed by the corrective action date given, and proof provided to DRMS (photos, GPS locations of markers)
that this has been completed.
No other issues were noted during this inspection.
Inspection Contact Address
Josh Oliver
Brannan Sand and Gravel Company,L.L.C.
2500 Brannan Way
Denver,CO 80229
