C. Solid Wastes. Describe the quantity and the physical and chemical characteristics of solid waste produced by the <br /> operation.Describe how the wastes will be disposed of including location and design of facilities,or treated so as to minimize <br /> adverse impacts.Any"waste'generated by our prospecting activities is in the nature of"Trash'that is typically associated with a <br /> picnic or camping.This trash is"packed out'by the operator on a daily basis and is disposed of or recycled in the appropriate way <br /> outside of the National Forest. <br /> No trash is"processed,"burned,buried,destroyed.or otherwise left on site. <br /> No facilities of any type are required for storage or disposal of waste.including human waste. <br /> 'Leave no Trace'practices will be applied to all camping,picnic,or other activities associated with the operation that may generate <br /> 'trash'or"waste"of any type,including human waste. <br /> CAMPING <br /> • Overnight stays and leaving vehicles on the Forest are limited to a maximum of 14 <br /> consecutive days and no more than 28 days in a 60-day continuous period. <br /> • Forest Service Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) related regulations require vehicles to <br /> park only in areas immediately adjacent to National Forest System roads. <br /> —Decision Memo— <br /> Page 5 of 9 <br /> USDA <br /> • All foodstuffs will be properly contained and located to minimize conflicts with wildlife, <br /> especially bears.
