This letter presents a summary <br /> of the leakage test results, and requests approval of the test for purposes of storing water under the <br /> water rights granted in this case. <br /> The Spec Agg Pit <br /> The Spec Agg Pit is an excavated hard rock quarry pit located in Jefferson County on Jackson <br /> Gulch (a tributary to Lena Gulch and Clear Creek)which captures and stores water flowing down <br /> Jackson Gulch. The general locations of the Spec Agg Quarry property and the Spec Agg Pit are <br /> shown in the Figures 1 and 2 of the Decree (incorporated here for reference). The decree in Case <br /> No. 13CW3053 granted MM a junior water storage right with an October 30, 2015 appropriation <br /> date for the Spec Agg Pit in the amount of 320 acre-feet (af), conditional, for commercial and <br /> industrial purposes, reclamation of mined lands, irrigation, dust control, concrete and asphalt <br /> production, rock washing, replacement of return flows, augmentation and exchange. In addition, <br /> the Spec Agg Pit may serve as an alternate place of storage for Magic Mountain Reservoir, as an <br /> exchange-to point for the exchanges in the Consolidated Decree in Case Nos. 90CW215 and <br /> 91 CW47 and an alternate point of diversion on Lena Gulch to deliver water into Magic Mountain <br /> Reservoir. <br /> In order to store water in the Spec Agg Pit under these water rights, the Decree Paragraph 21 <br /> requires that, <br /> "At least 63 days prior to initially storing water in the Spec Agg Pit under this Decree, <br /> Applicant shall demonstrate to the Division Engineer that the Pit satisfies the Colorado <br />
