(Aggregate)has received a Mining and Reclamation
permit from the Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety and has applied to
Adams County for a Conditional Use Permit to allow sand and gravel mining on a
property within 600 feet of a well that is located on your property at 12420 East 160t'
Avenue. It is possible that impacts to the capacity of your water well under Colorado
State Engineer's Permit 101310 could occur due to mine dewatering. In order to ensure
capacity in your water well is maintained throughout mining and reclamation,Aggregate
is offering to install a cistern on your property.
Aggregate will work with a local driller familiar with the wells in the area.Aggregate
will bear the cost of installing and operating the cistern. If the well is completely
dewatered and it is not practical to replace the existing well with a deeper or more
efficient well,Aggregate will deliver potable water to the cisterns for the duration of the
impacts. As indicated above,Aggregate may improve the existing well to provide water
to the cistern rather than continue to haul water for an extended period of time. In any
event,Aggregaw will provide potable water to you.
Therefore, upon your approval and consent, Aggregate shall hire a mutually agreed upon
local driller to begin determining the best location for a cistern on your property.
