PSCM has <br /> committed to conducting sediment and pond storage capacity surveys every 10 <br /> years. The last survey was conducted in 2016. Table 13.4 in the report shows <br /> pond capacity data since 2006. <br /> vii. Wildlife Monitoring required by Section 2.05.6(2) of the permit: Under <br /> Temporary Cessation, suspension of wildlife monitoring was approved in <br /> January of 2017. <br /> 1. CPW monitoring of Grouse leks: <br /> a. Four leks were monitored in 2017 and the number of males <br /> observed at each lek was reported. <br /> 2. Golden Eagle Nests: <br /> a. The report indicates that three of the original six Golden Eagle <br /> nest sites are believed to be destroyed as a result of natural <br /> causes and the remaining three sites were monitored during <br /> 2017. Once nest was observed to be active. <br /> viii. A 2018 Rill and Gully and Surface Maintenance map with submitted with the <br /> 2018 ARR. This information was reviewed and appears consistent with the <br /> Division's 2018 inspection reports regarding required maintenance. <br /> Acreage Accounting <br /> • The 2018 ARR form and page 1 of the report document indicate the total acres disturbed is <br /> 1,844.00 acres. The acreage disturbed from the Seneca II mine within the PSCM permit area is <br /> reported as 1775 acres and the total newly disturbed acres is reported as 69 acres. The Phase III <br /> bond release acreage include: 68.79 acres from SL2, 1026 acres from SL3, 418 acres for SL4 <br /> approved for the PSCM. <br /> This concludes the Division's review of the 2018 Annual Reclamation Report for the Peabody Sage <br /> Creek Mine.
