© COLORADO
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street,Room 215
Denver,Colorado 80203
October 31, 2019
Thomas Miller
5260 Garrison St#12
Arvada CO 80002
RE: Silent Hill; DRMS File P2015-007; Notice of Financial Warranty Release Request
Mr. Miller,
On October 29, 2019 the Division received your request for release of the financial warranty for the
above reference site. The Silent Hill prospecting operation is located on lands managed by the US
Forest Service (USFS). Therefore, the Division has also provided them with the notice of the release
request pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Division and USFS.
Per Section 4.16.1(3) of the Hard Rock/Metals Mining Rule: The Office shall, within 30 days after
receiving said report, or as soon thereafter as weather conditions permit, inspect the lands and
reclamation described in the notice to determine if the Operator has complied with all the applicable
requirements.
The Division will conduct an inspection of the site, when conditions permit, to determine if the site has
been reclaimed in accordance with the approved Reclamation Plan and the Hard Rock/Metal Mining
Rules. Because the previous release request was denied was due to the presence of noxious weeds and
insufficient reclamation vegetation, it may be some time before conditions allow determination of the
current state of vegetation on the site. DRMS will contact you to inform you when an inspection of the
site may be scheduled.
If you have any questions, please contact me at 303-866-3567 x8140.
Sincerely,
Eric Scott
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Michael Cunningham, DRMS
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us `o,
Jared Polis, Governor Dan Gibbs, Executive Director Virginia Brannon, Director
