10/25/2019 State.co.us Executive Branch Mail-Fwd: Magpie Diversion
---------- Forwarded message---------
From: Doug <ajjc@att.net>
Date: Tue, Oct 22, 2019 at 1:53 PM
Subject: Magpie Diversion
To: <zach.trujillo@state.co.us>
Zach,
When Energy Fuels was still responsible for the Southfield reclamation they were told repeatedly that the bare area on
the bank of the Magpie Diversion needed rip-rap repair. When the permit was revoked we were told that the repair would
be done as soon as the forfeited bond money was received by the State. About a year ago the Division told us that it still
did not have the bond money from the Treasury Department. That transfer must have now been completed. What are the
plans for repairing the rip-rap?
Doug Corley
C 0 L 0 R A D 0
w Division of Reclamation,
rM Mining and Safety
Department of Natural Resources
Zach Trujillo
Environmental Protection Specialist
P 303.866.3567 x 8164 1 F 303.832.8106 C 303.563.9185
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203
Zach.Trujillo@state.co.us mining.state.co.us
C 0 L 0 R A D 0
Division of Reclamation,
rM Mining and Safety
Department of Natural Resources
Zach Trujillo
Environmental Protection Specialist
P 303.866.3567 x 8164 1 F 303.832.8106 C 303.563.9185
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203
Zach.Trujillo@state.co.us I mining.state.co.us
https://mail.google.com/mail/b/AH1 rexQukKXpKEImPJcyrtmR9s6rHMQS28JWua9PC_DG4SGkFhyO/u/O?ik=deb7fOcd20&view=pt&search=all&permt... 2/2
