The Di- vision proposes a partial Phase I Bond Release on 3.3 acres in the East Pit, a parttal Phase 11 Bond Release on 38.5 acres in the East and South Taylor Pits and a partial Phase 1, 11, 11 Bond Release on 5.2 acres for the East Side Collection Ditch and Gulch A Pond. The surface operation is operated by Colowyo Coal Company L.P_under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond release application was submitted by Colowyo Coal Company L.P. on June 26, 2019. Under SL-16,Colowyo Mine is applying for Phase I bond release on approximately 3.3 acres, Phase 11 bond release on approximately 38.5 acres within the East, Section 16, and South Taylor Pits, and Phase III bond release on approximately 5.2 acres that are permanent structures. The affected area is located in Moffat, Rio Blanco County, approxi- mately 28 miles South of Craig,Colorado.
