TR1E1Y Environmental Protection Specialist Colorado Department of Natural Resources T l/mac Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety Office of Mined Land Reclamation 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 c Denver, Colorado 80203 t N Re: Permit No. M-1980-244; Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company; Cresson Project; TR#119 —Updated Numeric Protection Limits Dear Mr. Cazier: Newmont Mining Company's Cripple Creek and Victor Gold Mining Company (CC&V) hereby submits the following Technical Revision JR) #119 proposing changes to the 89 I� existing Numeric Protection Limits (NPLs) at CC&V. 0 Background: CC&V met with the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) in August of 2018 and again in August of 20109 to discuss water monitoring and NPLs at CC&V. It was identified during the meetings that several NPLs at CC&V are currently established below the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Water Quality Control Division, Colorado Regulation NO. 41 (Reg. 41) standards. CC&V agreed to submit a technical revision to establish updated NPLs for these constituents at the Reg. 41 table value standards. Numeric Protection Limits: CC&V currently has 18 approved NPLs for the Cresson Permit. Several NPLs were established at values below the Reg 41 table value standards. CC&V proposes that NPLs that are below the most restrictive Reg. 41 table value standard be set to the current Reg. 41 table value standard. Table 1 below presents the proposed changes to CC&V s NPLs.
