The forests include <br /> Aspen <br /> Ponderosa pine(pinus) <br /> Spuce <br /> riparian shrublands are dominated by thickets of <br /> coyote willow (Salix exigira). <br /> Wetlands consist of a mix of various persistent emergent species common <br /> to the region. Representative species include <br /> reed canary grass (Phalaris arundinacea), <br /> Nebraska sedge (Carex nebrascensis), <br /> various rushes (Juncos sp.) <br /> cattails (Typha latifolia). <br /> Remnant native upland vegetation is dominated by short-grass prairie <br /> species of Foothills Grasslands (CNAP, 1998). Common species include <br /> three-awn grass (Aristida sp.), <br /> sand drop seed(Sporobohts cty=ptandrirs ), <br /> rabbitbrush(Chri:sothantnits nauseosits), <br /> poison ivy (Toxicodendron radicans) <br /> prickly pear cactus (Opuntia polyacantha). <br /> smooth brome (Bromus inennis) is more cotntnon in the disturbed areas. <br />
