EXHIBIT G <br /> WATER INFORMATION <br /> There is one well on the site . It is a commercial well <br /> rated for 300 gpm is owned by The Walsenburg Sand and Gravel Co . . <br /> The dry stream bed of Sand Arroyo bisects the site from southeast <br /> to west . The new areas being added are outside this channel and <br /> will not impact groundwater or affect surface waters unless <br /> mined. The following information was reproduced from the 2002 <br /> application packet and information was added as appropriate for <br /> the new area being added. <br /> (1) Since this is strictly a dry pit operation, no surface or <br /> groundwater shall be required for evaporation loss replace- <br /> ment water . <br /> (2) Since this operation will not affect surface or groundwater <br /> systems, items (a) (b) and °) are not necessary for this <br /> application. However, the following information is being <br /> submitted as a matter of course to verify this position. <br /> (a) The map shows that Sand Creek is the main part of this <br /> permit acreage and the only water course . Neither are <br /> there any springs or reservoirs on the affected lands <br /> or adjacent lands . The Walsenburg Sand and Gravel Co . <br /> has a well on site that supplies water to the Batch <br /> Plant for minor dust control . It is covered by Permit <br /> # 12261F Water case #W0464 and is shown on the Map <br /> Exhibits . <br /> (b) There are no known aquifers to be identified. <br /> ©) There will be no dewatering operation involved in this <br /> operation. Sand Arroyo will continue to flow through <br /> the area as it has done historically. A Stormwater <br /> Discharge Permit and associated Stormwater Management <br /> Plan (SWMP) have been developed for the operation. <br /> (3) There will be no water requirements as stated previously for <br /> the development, mining and reclamation phases of this <br /> operation. <br /> (4) The applicant does not need a U. S . Army Corps of Engineers <br /> 404 Permit to mine within in the dry creek bed. A letter <br /> from the Corps of Engineers has confirmed the lack of neces- <br /> sity for said permit .
