The Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW)
provides GIS information for several species of wildlife in Colorado. Research by Uinta Mining, LLC in
September 2019 has identified eight species whose overall range is within close proximity or will have
the potential to be impacted by implementation of the Skull Creek Sand Project (SCS). Black Bear
habitat is within close proximity of the project area, while Elk, Greater Sage-grouse, Bald Eagle,
Pronghorn, White-tailed Prairie Dog, Brazilian Free-tailed Bat, and Mule Deer habitat is within the
project area of the SKS Project. A brief discussion of each species with respect to the project follows:
9/19/2019 7
