However, highly suitable cliff nesting habitat is present <br /> throughout the northern portion of the 0.5-mile cliff survey area. <br /> Five raptor nests were observed during surveys, four of which were classified as Golden Eagle nests. The <br /> remaining nest was classified as a Red-tailed Hawk nest(Table 2; Figure 2). All five raptor nests were <br /> unoccupied at the time of the survey, but none showed signs of recent use. All five nests were, however, <br /> in stable condition. Nest locations are displayed on Figure 2, while locations and the distances to the <br /> proposed project boundaries are provided in Table 2. Raptor nest photographs can be found in Appendix <br /> A. No raptors were observed incidentally during surveys. <br /> Table 2.
