r'~
Harry Ranney
Reclamation Specialist
Mined Land Reclamation Division
Colorado Dept. of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman St. Room 215
Denver CO 80203
.JFune 21, 1993
Dear Mr. Ranney,
This letter is to certify the adequacy of the entrance road at
national King Coal Mine at Hesperus Colorado. This road was built
prior to 1970 and has been in successful operation since
construction. It is obvious to me, based on historical
performance, that the road is structurally adequate to carry
large truck traffic. With continued maintenance this road will
satisfactorily and safely serve the mine for many years.
:sincerely,

Dan R. May .
