DRMS items are
addressed below.
1. Provide an updated list of structures within 200 ft. of the affected lands boundary
Please see the answer to item#2.
2. Per Rule 6.4.19 (a)For any structures within 200 ft. of the affected lands a structure
agreement must be completed OR (b)provide proof of delivery and submit an engineering
evaluation
A geotechnical stability engineering for the Sievers Pit is attached.
3. If applicable or if site conditions have changed since TR-3,provide updated mining and
reclamation maps
Updated mining and reclamation maps are attached.
4. Per Rule 6.4.12 provide an updated reclamation cost estimate for site conditions with the
maximum disturbance. Specifically maximum highwall linear feet requiring grading, acres
requiring topsoil/seeding etc.
The worst case reclamation will occur at the end of mining when all 122.9 acres of the site are
disturbed and the final highwall will need to be knocked down. The final highwall represents an
area of active mining that has not been completed to the final 31-1:1 V slope. It is assumed that this
can be accomplished with a dozer push to the final grade. Since there is no major need for
backfill, the main driver of the reclamation cost will be the topsoiling of such a large area. Table
1 below shows a breakdown of the reclamation tasks and their associated costs. This breakdown
is based on GLA and United's experience with typical DRMS bond calculations.
Sievers Pit TR I XGrcl Icwicki and As--mu-P.AA
