b. For Structure 93, the vertical and horizontal distances appear to be much
smaller than indicated on Map 162.
This error has been corrected. Sometimes these types of errors arise
because SEDCAD completes a third variable based on any other two
variables. If the slope or vertical distance changes without deleting the
other first, the horizontal distance will change to something unintended.
c. For structure 94, the vertical distance in the table is 40 feet, but the map
indicates that it should be between 20 and 25 feet.
This error has been corrected.
14. In the introductory text for Illustration 59, please provide more details regarding
the SEDCAD model inputs. For example, what is the source for the particle size
distribution? If this is the same as distributions used for other refuse piles at
Deserado, can you explain the original source?
The best information we have is included in the sedimentology section of
Illustration 59.
15. On page 4 of Illustration 60, the 100 year flow into the pond does not match the
value in the SEDCAD output(page 117). Please revise or explain.
This appears to be a typo in the summary showing a discrepancy of 2 cfs out of
roughly 77 cfs. The summary in the text is included for convenience to the casual
reader to convey a sense of scale without having to dig into the SEDCAD results.
