September 24,2019 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RAR
Next, the main bond release block of parcels in former F pit were surveyed. These parcels comprise
AB rangeland seed mix, seeded between 2006 and 2008 (parcels FAB06, FAB07 and FAB08).
Vegetation was dominated by desirable species included in the prescribed seed mix;Agropyron s.
(wheat grasses) and Elymus s. (wild rye), Aster chilensis (pacific aster) and Astragalus cicer (cicer
milkvetch. Shrubs comprising Chrysothamnus nauseus (rabbitbrush),Artemisia alnifolia (silver sage),
and Purshia tridentata (bitter brush) were well represented and healthy in these parcels. An erosional
feature was noted on the parcel boundary between FAB07 and FAB08, most likely associated with the
varying years of reclamation and/or snow bank accumulation above. A small area of vegetation
exhibiting a less desirable species mix was noted in the upper portion of FAB06. It was however, not
presenting any problems and the remainder of the parcel exhibited good cover and desireable species.
The southern portion of the F Pit parcels fall on Trapper Mining Inc. ownership while the lower third
portions to the north, fall on Colorado State owned surface. A previously released drainage corridor
runs along the west edge of this block of parcels.
A
ro
+ r i
Y
nL
R.
Photo 2: Parcel FAB07 illustrating a mix of shrubs and grasses.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
Page 4 of 8
