L R D <br /> A, <br /> Division of Reclamation, <br /> Iv Mining and Safety <br /> Department of Natural Resources <br /> September 17, 2019 <br /> Mr. Tom Bird <br /> GCC Energy, LLC <br /> 6473 County Road 120 <br /> Hesperus, CO 81326 <br /> Re: King Coal Mine, Reclamation Cost Estimate for TR-27 <br /> Dear Mr. Bird: <br /> Zach Trujillo of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety(the Division)performed a <br /> Reclamation Cost Estimate (RCE) for the proposed Refuse Pile Expansion(RPE). The total <br /> value of this estimate is $67,774.00. The following comments summarize the values used in the <br /> attached RCE: <br /> • The RPE area was measured at 2.6 acres. <br /> • Volumes were based on the RPE area and required depth of cover material(3.5 feet) and <br /> growth medium(0.5 feet). <br /> • Haul routes for growth medium were taken centroid to centroid from the Plant Growth <br /> Medium Storage Area in the upper east drainage(Map King I-007). <br /> • Haul routes for cover material were taken centroid to centroid from the Huntington Pond <br /> Area using existing roads and down through the eastern drainage(approximately 1.5 miles). <br /> Two haul route segments were used to differentiate critical grade changes along the route. <br /> Please see the following table for a comparison between the required soil and the available soil. <br /> -'pF•COl <br /> c„ < 01 <br /> 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 htt /mining.state.co.us <br /> Jared S.
