NEWMONT
GOLDCORP.
4) Fuel Island Facility: A fuel island is also indicated on Figure 3. Will this facility be
lined similar to the existing fuel island southeast of the Ironclad Facilities? The
DRMS requires additional information similar to that submitted with TR-63.
The tank and facility have yet to be designed, as Figure 3 is only a conceptual
design at this time. CC&V will submit additional information similar to that
submitted with TR-63 as an addendum to this TR once the fuel island design
is complete. The fuel island and associated tank will be decommissioned
and removed prior to closure, which was included in the closure cost
estimate of the July 23, 2019 submission of this TR. The estimate for closure
of this area is based on the dimensions provided in the above table.
5) Implementation Schedule: The approved reclamation plan (reference AM-11
Exhibit C, Drawing C-6, dated 12-15-2015 and Exhibit F, Drawing F-1, dated 9-30-
2016) includes approximately 400 feet of backfill in the Main Cresson Pit. How
would the construction of the support buildings, the portal and drifts impact the
reclamation plan and its schedule?
CC&V is committed to currently approved closure backfill requirements. Any
future changes to these requirements will be outlined in Amendment 13
language and pit backfilling figures, as discussed via phone with DRMS on
September 11, 2019.
Should you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact Katie Blake via
phone or email at 719.689.4048 and Katie.Blake(o)-newmont.com or me at 719.689.4042
and Justin.Ra Iq in(a)newmont.com.
Sincerely,
'a&k f
Justin Raglin
Senior Environmental Manager
Cripple Creek & Victor Mine
JR/kb
EC: T.
