Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N - Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> R -Processing Waste N - Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a partial inspection by Leigh Simmons of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety(Division). <br /> Bob Munz of Mountain Coal Company(MCC) accompanied the inspection. The weather was clear, hot and dry. <br /> The mine was active. <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> The longwall was in the E8 panel, at around cross-cut 13 on the E8 headgate. <br /> The SS 1 headgate had been completed. Development miners were in the SS 1 start line, and the SS 1 tail gate(at <br /> around cross cut 11). <br /> No progress past cross cut 22 had been made on the Sunset Mains South. <br /> PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES—Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br /> Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br /> Much of the surface of the RPEE appeared to have been compacted. At the southern edge of the pile, work <br /> had been carried out in readiness to extend the underdrain up the slope. Stripped soil had been stockpiled on the <br /> compacted surface of the refuse pile. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES -Rule 4.04: <br /> Recently constructed pads and roads for MVBs on the SS 1 panel were inspected. Drilling had been <br /> completed on S S 1-1, -3 and-5. The drilling contractors (RACS, LLC. of Delta, CO)were working on S S 1-2 at the <br /> time of the inspection,preparing the tremmie pipe to cement in the 9 5/8"casing. Mr Munz expected the <br /> remaining holes (S S 1-4, -6 and-7)to be completed by around September 20. <br /> The earth work contractors (D and S Underground of Hotchkiss, CO)were not currently on-site since construction <br /> work for the season was complete. They were expected to return later in the summer to proceed with reclamation <br /> projects. <br /> The new roads were in excellent shape, and the wet spot noted in figure 2 of the July 2019 inspection report had <br /> been dealt with using fabric and road-base so that it was passable for the drill rig. All pads had been finished to <br /> final grade and were smooth and compact.
