August 8, 2019 C-1981-018/Deserado Mine CCW <br /> The pad for the explosive storage was in good condition. The rock net on the hill above the pad was intact. The <br /> berms for the pad were stable and vegetated. There were no indications of erosion at the site. <br /> -Main Facilities Area: <br /> The main facilities are consists of the mine office,prep plant, equipment storage/laydown area and fuel station. <br /> Ditches throughout the facilities area were clear of debris and functioning as designed. Water from the facilities <br /> area reports to the DP-1 Pond. The out slopes of the benches were vegetated and stable. There were no <br /> indications of erosion. The berms surrounding the facilities benches were in good repair. No off-site impacts <br /> were observed. The berms surrounding the fuel storage tanks were intact with no erosional concerns. Work on <br /> the new belt press has progressed to the point where the new equipment will be encased in the prep plant building <br /> in the near future. <br /> -B Vent Shaft#1: <br /> The pad for the vent shaft was in good condition with no indications of instability. There were no erosional <br /> features or off-site impacts observed. The safety fence around the vent shaft was in place,marked with signs. <br /> -B Vent Shaft#3: <br /> The pad was stable with no erosional concerns. No off site impacts were identified. The safety fence around the <br /> vent shaft was in good condition,marked with signs. <br /> - Slot Storage: <br /> The out slopes of the slot storage were vegetated and stable. There were no erosional features observed. The pad <br /> surrounding the slot storage building was stable. Berms were observed to be intact with well-established <br /> vegetation. Ditches at the site were in good repair and unobstructed. <br /> -Nitrogen Plant#2: <br /> The site was stable with no off-site impacts. There were no erosional features observed. The access road <br /> surrounding the pad was in good repair. <br /> -RDH-3: <br /> The pad for RDH-3 was stable and in good repair. There were no erosional features or off-site impacts observed. <br /> -RDH-4: <br /> The pad for RDH-4 was well maintained and stable. No off-site impacts or erosional features were observed. <br /> TOPSOIL—Rule 4.06 <br /> Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br /> Various topsoil pile associated with the support facilities were seen during the inspection. The piles were <br /> observed to have well-established vegetative cover on them. No erosional concerns were identified.
