Box 187 <br /> Craig, CO 81626 <br /> RE: Trapper Mining, Inc., Permit C-1981-010 <br /> Quarter 2 2018-Horse Gulch Fill Quarterly Inspection Report <br /> Dear Ms. Perkins: <br /> The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (CDRMS) has reviewed and found the <br /> above referenced report to be in general compliance with the following CDRMS regulations: <br /> 4.09.1(11)(a) Inspected at least quarterly by a registered engineer, or other qualified professional <br /> specialist in construction of earth and rockfill embankments under the direction of a <br /> qualified engineer throughout the construction. <br /> The certified report covers the first quarter monitoring period from April to June of 2018, and the <br /> inspections were conducted by yourself, a certified engineer on 28 June 2018. <br /> 4.09.1(11)(b) Provide to the Division a certified report within 2 weeks after each inspection that <br /> the fill has been constructed as specified in the design approved by the Division. The <br /> report shall include a description of any appearances of instability, structural <br /> weakness, and other hazardous conditions. <br /> The inspection was conducted on 28 June 2018. The Division received the report on 6 July 2018. <br /> No instability, structural weakness, or other hazardous conditions were noted during this inspection <br /> of the fill. The area where cracks were detected on the top south portion of the fill during the first <br /> quarter of 2013 was inspected and no additional cracking was observed. Other areas were differential <br /> settling has been observed in the past were also inspected.. The spots above the 7350' elevation on the <br /> south side where in 2013 some settling occurred were inspected and showed additional differential <br /> settling at this inspectoin. The spring discovered during the third quarter of 2011 was not flowing at <br /> the time of the inspection.
