PUBLIC NOTICE
Climax Molybdenum Company, Henderson Operations, P.O. Box 68, Empire, Colorado 80438,
and whose location is multiple section portions in Township 2 and 3 South, Ranges 77 and 78
West, filed an application for an Amendment to its approved Reclamation Permit with the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board (Board) under provisions of the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Act. The Amendment, AM-07, proposes to increase the Henderson affected land
boundary to include the following areas:
• 21.9 acres: URAD Wastewater Treatment Plant;
• 9.8 acres: Water conveyance pipeline between the Mine and URAD;
a 11.3 acres: Mine Site addition;
• 151.9 acres: Subsidence area; and
• 48.3 acres: Mine Site reconciliation.
With the addition of the above affected land areas, Henderson anticipates that the total affected
land area under Permit No. 1977-342 will increase to 4,360.2 acres. The proposed changes will
not change the existing land use or the present mining or milling operations at Henderson.
The proposed date of effect for this Amendment is immediately following approval by the Board.
There is no change in mining plan associated with this Amendment. Additional information and
tentative decision date may be obtained from the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567, at the
Henderson Operations office, or at the Clerk and Recorder's offices of Grand County(Hot Sulphur
Springs, Colorado) and Clear Creek County (Georgetown, Colorado).
Comments must be in writing and must be received by the Colorado Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety by 20 days following last day of publication.
Henderson Operations
Amendment to M-1977-342 ;T C/imaxMolybdenum
April 2019 AFinapon-M6MoRan Company Appendix 4
