EXHIBIT B <br /> JAMACO PIT <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> This site is located 4.0 miles west and 2 miles north of Arriba, Colorado and is located on <br /> Hackberry Creek at an approximate elevation of 5,300 feet. The site drains to the creek, <br /> which flows to the northeast; Hackberry Creek is a tributary of the Arickaree River. Most <br /> of the slopes are flatter than a 4:1 but some of the banks of Hackberry Creek are steeper. <br /> The land surrounding the immediate pit area is composed of gently rolling hills. There <br /> will be no mining activities in Hackberry Creek and no erosion products will be allowed <br /> to enter this drainage feature. <br /> Vegetation in this area is consists of blue gramma, western wheatgrass, green needle <br /> grass, buffalo grass,fourwing saltbush. Some of the pit will also be located in a portion <br /> of the property that is devoted to the cultivation of winter wheat. <br /> Topsoil is approximately 3 to 6 inches thick and the over burden is 1 to 2 feet thick. In <br /> some areas sand and gravel is mixed with the topsoil. <br /> The only man made structure within two hundred(200)feet of the affected area is a ranch <br /> that runs east and west just within ten(10) feet of the northern most pit boundary. This <br /> ranch road will be maintained by the county. It is not a county road. <br /> There is no major wildlife in the area; nor any endangered species that would be <br /> impacted. <br /> Revision 1:Feb.9,2011 <br /> 2 <br />
