6j;j_ WILLIAMS FORK MINING COMPANY
July 31,2019 RECEIVED RECEIVED
Ms. Amy Yeldell AUG 4 6 2019
Df1rI8lON OF
Colorado Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety O M S"of RkC+
1313 Sherman Street,Room 215
NGANDSAFElY
Denver,CO 80203
KTt
Re: Williams Fork Mining Company,Permit No.M-84-168
Update Sand and Gravel Pit Mining and Reclamation Plan,Technical Revision TR-07
Dear Ms. Yeldell:
With this submittal, Williams Fork Mining Company (WFMC) is revising the original TR-07 revision
application. In order to be able to begin mining operations in a timely manner this summer and fall we
are pulling back the mining limit near the Union Pacific railroad tracks. This change was determined
necessary because of the expected time required to get insurance liability worked out with our insurance
carrier to mine within 200 feet of the railroad tracks. If we can get the insurance issue worked out in time
we will make a future request to revert back to the original plan and mine within the 200 foot railroad
buffer.
To change the mine and reclamation plan to remove gravel a minimum 200 foot distance outside the
railroad line buffer, the following revised documents are provided: Exhibit D, Table D-1, Exhibit E
(page 1), Exhibit 1. Also enclosed are the following revised maps: Exhibit C and Exhibit F.
Changes included in the above pages and maps are as follows:
♦ Revised the mining limit and overall mining disturbance on the Exhibit C map.
♦ Revised the proposed reclaimed area on the Exhibit F map.Note that there will be only one expanded
"south"pond rather than two.
♦ Updated mining sequence timing in Exhibit D.
♦ Table D-1 is updated to change the approximate timing of the mining sequence.
♦ Updated Exhibit E(page 1)to indicate two permanent ponds rather than three.
♦ Exhibit I is revised to include a topsoil balance update and to show a reduced life of mine disturbance
acreage.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Forrest Luke
Environmental Manager
[S>R7interimrevision.doc]
c WFMC file,w/enc
P.O.
