EXHIBIT B—SITE DESCRIPTION
The proposed Farm Road Source is located 8 miles North West of the City of Montrose. The site,
in relation to the City of Montrose, is shown on Exhibit A.The mining area will be located
within a large tract of land owned by Blain Klett and Jona Williams. The site is bordered by
private property land owners on all sides. The proposed mine is a part of a 282-acre tract of
land.
The topography within the permit area slopes gently down toward the north east. The permit
boundary is shown on Map C-1 and the entire permit area is 9.98 acres. The site is a dry terrace
gravel knob with very little soil and vegetation. The gravel deposit is approximately 25 feet
thick and overlays the Mancos Shale. The property is currently accessed through the proposed
mine site by an existing road. The proposed mine site will use the existing road for its operations
and access off of the property. The trucks hauling off the property will access Montrose County
Road 5875.
The site will be reclaimed to a land use of general agriculture. The topography of the reclaimed
land is shown on Map C3.
