Each section of the preliminary adequacy review items that need <br /> addressed are listed below and/or attached to this letter. <br /> Exhibit B— Site Description(Rule 6.3.2(a)): <br /> • The Haverson series consists of very deep, well drained soils that formed in alluvium <br /> from mixed sources. Haverson soils are on floodplains and low terraces and have slopes <br /> of 0 to 9 percent. The mean annual precipitation is about 15 inches and the mean annual <br /> air temperature is about 49 degrees F. These soils are used as native <br /> pastureland/grassland, dry farm land or irrigated cropland.Native vegetation is mixed <br /> grasses, cottonwoods and brush. The vegetation at the mine site is native pastureland. A <br /> revised Exhibit B is attached with the added language. <br /> Exhibit B—Site Description(Rule 6.3.2(b)): <br /> • The surface landowner of affected mining site has a man-made barbed wired fence <br /> structure within 200 feet of the proposed operation area. The fence runs along the eastern <br /> and northern boundaries of the mining site boundary extending westward north of the <br /> access roadway outside the active mining boundary. A revised Exhibit B is attached with <br /> the revision. A structure agreement for the fence is also attached. <br /> Exhibit C—Mining Plan (Rule 6.3.3): <br /> • An earthen berm will be built in the buffer area on the north side of the pit to prevent <br /> surface flow from the nearby White Woman Creek to minimize the potential impacts to <br /> hydrologic balance.
