The weather was clear and warm. The ground was mostly dry. The entire focus of the
inspection was to determine if topsand depths in certain areas are sufficient; at all 14 locations that were checked,
the depths were sufficient. Please see the TOPSOIL section of this report for more information.
TOPSOIL—Rule 4.06
Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4:
Danny Kipp and Mark Quimby used a gas-powered auger to drill holes at 14 locations within the following
reclaimed areas:
• B-Pit area(2 holes)
• The Long Term Spoil Area(3 holes)
• Former roads (9 holes).
The hole locations are shown on the maps in this report. Significant portions of the B Pit area and Long Term
Spoil Area have not been completely reclaimed. Topsand depths in these areas will need to be checked at a later
date.
Per the Keenesburg Mine Permit Application Package, the required depth of topsand within the Long Term Spoil
Area is 15 inches, and is 24 inches in other areas including the B Pit area and roads. All of the topsand depths
measured during this inspection met these requirements.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0
Page 2 of 4
